Welcome Team

Let's face it –visiting a church can be uncomfortable. But not if we have anything to do with it!

The welcome team is all about first impressions, and we're the first line of defense against a bad one. From the parking lot to the coffee pot to the seat in the auditorium, we make sure anyone attending RealChurch feels truly seen, heard, and wanted as we meet them with a smile and love every step of the way.

Lobby Desk Greeter - We ask you to serve a minimum of once per month - any Sunday of your choosing from 9:40-10:15. The Lobby Desk Greeter (2 volunteers per Sunday) man our lobby desk - greeting familiar and new faces. For the new faces, we like to offer a complimentary gift bag a quick run down of where the bathrooms, RealKids area, cafe and the auditorium are located. Also, encourage them to fill out the connect card and return it to the desk or a giving box.

Auditorium Floater - We ask you to serve a minimum of once per month - any Sunday of your choosing from 9:40-10:15. The Auditorium Floater is our extra line of defense to catch any visitors that might have slipped past our lobby desk. Oftentimes, it can be intimidating to visit a new church. The Auditorium Floater’s main job is to greet newcomers, make sure they’ve received a gift bag and chat with them before worship so they feel comfortable and welcomed.

If you have an affinity for hospitality or a warm smile, the Welcome Team may be for you! Questions? Reach out to our Connections Coordinator, Miranda Winslett at (770) 274-9386 or miranda@realchurchcoweta.com!
